I was wondering where the alleged "Pro-Life" movement was on healthcare. Well, the answer is here:
http://www.examiner.com/...
In a nutshell, they are against it. But, they are not against it for well thought out, valid reasons. They are against it based on outright lies.
So, while numerous people have died due to lack of healthcare and will continue to die because;
- they couldn't afford to have health care insurance
- couldn't pay for treatment
- the insurance company didn't want to pay for treatment and dropped a covered person from coverage
- the insurance company went out of its way to find bogus "pre-existing conditions" (which didn't impact the insurance companies from taking money from these individuals year in and year out until they would have to pay out
- the insurance industry is a monopoly that cannot be broken up and there is no reason for them to change or lower their costs
I am sure there are numerous other reasons that can be added.
But, hey, I agree with the first commenter on the link;
Annelle Miller says:
"Let us correctly frame this debate. First, this group shouldn't be called a right wing Christian group, they are merely a right wing group. Second, a Christian does not use lies and distortions to advance an issue because lies are a tool for Satan. "
