So, as most of you know, "Diaper" Dave Vitter is facing a tough re-election challenge next year from Democratic Congressman Charlie Melancon.

As you also probably know, he's also facing a most-likely-less-tough possible challenge from porn star Stormy Daniels.

However, I'm sure that Dave is wiping his brow (hopefully with a towel, not a diaper) this morning at the news that at least one of his challengers has suffered from a minor setback.

I know it's a short diary, but it's also a pretty short article; I've clipped it even further to avoid fair use issues:

Porn Star Stormy Daniels Accused Of Battering Husband

Stormy Daniels, an adult film star with designs on running for Louisiana Senator next year, was arrested Saturday on misdemeanor battery charges in Tampa, Florida...

Daniels' husband, Michael Mosny, said she threw a potted plant in his direction and hit him in the head because she was upset with his laundry-washing skills and found some unpaid bills.

Gee, I hope this doesn't ruin her reputation!! It could reduce her image in the eyes of the public!

Kinda makes you wonder whether Vitter's own wife threw any potted plants at him after he had sex with prostitutes while wearing diapers, then humiliated her further by dragging her in front of the cameras to apologize...

Update: Thanks to mouser68 for mentioning Daniels' political advisor being hit with a car bomb the other day. Wow, now that would make you shit your pants...unless you're wearing, you know...

SO, just to recap:

A hard-right conservative, pro-Christian/"family values" incumbent Republican, who was busted for (allegedly) having sex with prostitutes while wearing diapers, has been challenged for his United States Senate seat by a porn star whose political advisor was almost blown up by a car bomb and who has been arrested for throwing a potted plant at her husband because he's bad at doing the laundry and paying bills.

I've never been to Louisiana, but it sounds like a wild time is had by all down there...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
