Just got the email pasted below through the Northwest Indiana for Obama listserv. Please go if you can; I am on the other side of the world so I won't be able to.
What: Congressman Pete Visclosky town-hall meeting
When: August 3, 2009 6:30 PM (Central time)
Where: Westchester Library Service Center, 100 West Indiana Avenue, Chesterton, IN

It is important that we use this event to show the strength of support for real healthcare reform. The other side will be there, and it is important that their shrill, ignorant voices not go unanswered. See this diary for the tactics we're dealing with.
Hi everyone,
The NWI chapter of the Patriots will be at the town hall meeting with Congressman Pete Visclosky on Monday August 3 at 6:30 pm. They plan to be there in large numbers with signs to rally against the health care bill and clean jobs. Signs will not be allowed in the building, but there is only seating for 110 people and the people that can't get in will protest out side.
Alert, we must be there in bigger numbers with signs to off set the media attention our way. The press will be there. Please come to this meeting bring a friend or two. Have a question or two ready to submit to Congressman Visclosky.
The town hall meeting will be held at the Westchester Library Service Center. 100 West Indiana Avenue, Chesterton, IN 46304 half mile south of 80/94 at rt 49, off South Calumet Ave.
Anyone needing a ride can contact me by phone or e-mail and we will arrange transportation for you.
Its important that we all be there and make our presence known. Thank you all for all you do, this month will decide the fate of Health care reform and clean energy jobs. Come early to rally.
