Today's beauty provided in abundance by Nature, as always ...

Did you hear the story about Annie Leibovitz defaulting on a $24 million loan?
I could finance my art for 5000 years with that sort of money!
While cooling down at the bookstore today I happened to amuse myself reading a book by Wayne Allyn Root.
The only possible response to that comment:
Who the hell is Wayne Allyn Root?
Well, if you need to know, I'll tell you: He was the Libertarian Party's Vice Presidential candidate in 2008. Yeah, you know where this is going ...
Anyhow, this is what I gathered from the book:
* Although Wayne Allyn Root lives in Las Vegas, Nevada, he believes that the government hasn't done
anything at all for him. I feel like asking him, "Did you build the Hoover Dam with your own hands?" but it is pointless to argue with a Randian cultist.
Here are some more tidbits:
* Global Warming is refuted in Wayne Allyn Root's mind by a snowfall in Las Vegas. All those scientists are wrong, wrong, wrong because a snowflake fell in Las Vegas!
* "drill, Drill, DRILL!" is his mindless response to the oil problem.
I could have spent more time reading this tripe but Libertarians are no-name nobodies for a reason. Randian cultists are lunatic extremists who fortunately are such a small minority that they don't even matter. As such they are strictly for amusement only.
Here is a book review of Wayne Allyn Root's book:

Which is quite humorous in saying:
Root is obviously earnest in his desire to work for a libertarian future. I think there are valid criticisms that he is too overbearing in appearances, which is also reflected in how his book reads. You feel as if you are being yelled at all the time. In reading "The Conscience..." the reader wants to tell him to calm down and explain slowly so we can get the message.
It is pointless to tell a lunatic to calm down. This poor man is fully immersed in Randian nonsense.
Yet this is the reason why the book is so very amusing. This guy might even become of the Libertarian Party's Presidential candidate in 2012!
