With all the crap going on, where does the Denver Post stand?
Last week Glenn Beck accused the President of the United States of being a racist. Rush Limbaugh compared his administration to that of Nazi Germany. Sarah Palin once again dragged one of her kids into the fray and by saying that her baby with Down Syndrome may one day have to stand in front of Obama's "death panels." Angry mobs, at the urging of health insurance companies and the Republican party, tried to shout down and shut down public meetings by Representatives Betsy Markey and Ed Perlmutter to talk about healthcare. And what topic does the Denver Post choose to make the focus of it's Sunday editorial page? Dog poop.
With all the "you-know-what" being hurled at our public officials in public and over the airwaves, the editors of the Denver Post, in their infinite wisdom, chose to turn away from taking a stand against the ugly, hate-filled, racist behavior that is going on right here in our fair city and use their precious editorial space to sing the praises of those who would clean up dog poop in our parks. So in keeping with that theme of keeping our parks cleaner, here's an idea. Take a copy of the Post with you when you walk your dog in the park. Then, when your dog does his business, you'll have something to wrap it up in. At least then the Post will be good for something.
