So lots of Anger, lots of people pissed at Democrats for what has been going on. It is understandable. Yes, ideally we would want a health bill with all the bells and whistles that will truly solve our problems, but believe it or not, if this ends like it did in 1993 without NO Bill at all, it will be the WORST option.
Follow me after the break for more.
Yes, the media sucks, they cover all the shouting and no longer call lies lies and just report lies as news.
Yes, there are also people who are just angry because Obama is President and they me birthers or racists or whatever else.
Yes, there is a LOT, WAY TOO MUCH Misinformation out there.
And Yes, the media played its role in spreading this misinformation.
Yes, Democrats have a majority but at times act like they are in the minority.
Yes, we can be angry at them for that.
Yes, there will be some people who are angry and completely against any health reform at all. America is a diverse enough country to always have that.
But what will happen if we kill the bill completely because it doesn't have what all us progressives want?
- More people will continue to lose their insurance coverage.
- More people will get denied insurance becase of pre-existing conditions.
- More people will go bankrupt because of Medical Costs.
- More people will die because of all this.
You get the point.
I am NOT telling you to stop working towards the goal of Proper Health Reform. We Work towards it. We go to these townhalls and display our support. We donate, we talk to friends, we talk to family. We counter the misinformation, we counter the LIES. There ARE still a lot of people undecided about the health reform. And we WORK to educate them.
But at the end of the day, when its September 15th, when maybe we will see the first bill out of the Senate and start the process to get it through. Think.
Think about what will happen if we all just completely oppose that Bill.
- More people will continue to lose their insurance coverage.
- More people will get denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions.
- More people will go bankrupt becuase of Medical Costs.
- More people will die becuase of all this.
What will a bill that doesn't go all the way but still serves up some reform do for us:
- Less people will continue to lose their insurance coverage.
- Less or Zero people will get denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions.
- Less people will go bankrupt becuase of Medical Costs.
- More people will be saved.
Just keep that in mind as you make your final decision.
