There is a problem for a particular republican in a very blue district, well it seems people in his district want a public option.
Rep. Cao had a town hall meeting last night and the people of his district were upset over the health care debate. Unlike other republicans who are enjoying these unruly mobs, Cao has an unique problem, he know his district wants a public option, so it will be hard to spin it to a no vote. Cao said in a previous interview with our Times Picayune, "if i vote against the health bill i will lose the next election". Well his beliefs were confirmed last night when people talked about how unfair the health care system is and it need to be reformed.
Here are some highlights of the evening text:
Outside of Sally Stevens who says, "I have all these bills. I can't pay them. I'm about to become homeless, so I'm going to let you and your insurance lobbyist buddies pay them," tonight's Irish Channel town hall meeting with Congressman Joseph Cao was questions answers and concerns..
Melanie Miranda says, "I'm also concerned about people not having health care." Congressman Cao met with the neighborhood to talk about his take on President Obama's healthcare reform plan.
Dr. Gene Dongieux says, "It's not o.k. with me that our government, that our senators, have a different health care plan than we have.

The town hall consisted of different races and ages, but they all have something in common and that is public option.
