I know that this isn't a political diary, but I am having problems with a set that includes a stacked washing machine with a dryer. The Washing Machine is a Eurotech EWF 150. The Dyer is Condenser Dryer EDC158. They both came with a condo that I bought a month ago.
More beneath the fold.
The washer and dryer are stacked in a closet. The washer is a European style machine that barely holds any clothes. I literally have to do laundry two to three times a week. It takes the dryer an hour and a half to two hours to dry. And when I put it on timed settings, like 60 minutes, it doesn't stop and keeps going.
So tonight I did laundry because I am going on a trip tomorrow. I filled the clothes in as much as I could and I took them out when the cycle was done. The clothes were more damp than they should have been. Also the washer was leaking water out of its upper left corner.
I opened the lint filter (located in the lower right corner of the front of the machine) and water flowed out. I assumed that that was the problem and cleaned it. I put it back away. To test it I washed the towel that I used to collect the water drainage. It still was too damp.
So now the dryer has taken two hours to dry my clothes and they are still damp. What is wrong with this stacked system? A few weeks ago I called the repair guy about the timer not working (the machine was still within warranty) and he said that the timer would not stop until the clothes were absolutely dry but otherwise said it was okay.
These appliances came new with the condo. I would appreciate any help.
