After watching Anderson Cooper's report today, along with similar media reports elsewhere regarding Democrats possibly "ramming through" health care reform without Republican support, I'm fascinated by just how much willful ignorance is required to prop up their ongoing double standard of "bipartisanship".
To my lazy friends over at CNN, let me help you out.
The reconciliation process is not obscure. The Republicans have used it pretty regularly since 1995, most notably to "ram through" Bush's tax cuts for Anderson Cooper. Heck, just ask John McCain.
If you're looking for something obscure, however, try finding any CNN report in the last decade wringing its hands over Republicans not being "bipartisan enough" while ramming their agenda down the throats of the minority Democrats.
