There is information about a "town hall" meeting with the 48th's John Campbell going about the blogosphere. It is not in fact a Town Hall meeting but a private luncheon with a Republican Woman's group at a Private Golf Club on August 26th...
John Campbell will discuss the "hottest" Washington DC topics of the summer.
Bring your questions for Congressman Campbell. Reservations required by Aug 21.

So really this is just John Campbell business as usual where he listens to a small group of people rather than opening the debate to all his constituents.
This is the same John Campbell that voted for the birther bill in Congress. You know that guy? Let me remind you...
And this is why political mission of the next year and a half is helping Beth Krom win the 48th, we're tired of not having proper representation. It's time for Orange County to have more than one active Congress critter (thank God for Loretta Sanchez).
This is the kind of representation we get in the OC, the kind that's focused on the special interests of a few. Rancho Santa Margarita sent off a letter in the name of all their residents but forgot about the 42% who voted for Obama. Their tirade was opposing the public option which happened to be filled with inaccuracies.
Of course they merely showed more hypocrisy as my fellow blogger at the OC Progressive reported that all these City Council members have health care provided by City tax dollars. That's right, they get the public option but no one else in the city does.
Turns out that the RSM Council Members receive not only 463.50 per month for serving on the City Council, but they also spent 1388.99 per month per City Council Member on "Benefits", which includes health and dental coverage. And from 05-06 to 08-09 the actual amount spent on benefits for the City Council skyrocketed from $33,262 to $83,399.
I'm tired of this kind of naked hypocrisy as many Democrats in the OC are. We're tired of our point of view being taken for granted by those who are supposed to represent us.
Now here is where I offer full disclosure. I promised Beth Krom that I would help introduce her to the Netroots and I would do so without taking a dime of her campaign money. This is my district, my personal interest is obvious. Beth Krom is our best hope in a long time to win another seat in Congress for the people of Orange County. She has proven herself as a community leader by her amazing leadership while sitting on Irvine's City Council and as the city's Mayor.
Want to know what Beth Krom thinks of Health care reform? You can go to her website.
The 48th Congressional District places a high priority on health and wellness. Throughout our communities there are people of all ages, cultures and economic backgrounds who understand that unless we have "health security," we will never feel fully secure.
All Americans should have access to basic health resources at an affordable price. When people pay thousands of dollars per year in insurance premiums and still fear their medical access will be restricted, something is seriously wrong. Insurance companies have placed their profit motives over the health care needs of the citizens of this nation. A pre-existing condition should not bar a person from access to healthcare. The system is broken and needs to be reformed.
We can never be the great nation we aspire to be if we do not make the health and well-being of our citizens a national priority. Let’s better utilize the dollars currently deployed in our healthcare system to maximize investments by individuals and government.
Beth Krom gets it!
