Good Evening Kossacks - Leo Here
First, I would like to grant a moment's silence for our fallen eight years ago this day, on September 11, 2001. Thousands were either wounded or killed in this tragedy, in an event that shook our nation forever.
Respect and honor is owed to the thousands of our soldiers and their families who were not as fortunate as many of us who did return home from Afghanistan and Iraq to defend our homes - to ensure tragedies like these never happen again.
THAT is the reason we fight in Afghanistan and Iraq... a reason many seem to forget... Please take this moment to honor that cause... and whether you support the war efforts or not, know that the reasons our soldiers, airmen, sailors, and marines fight is for just that...
...for the love of the people back home, and the glorious land they pray to return to each and every day.
Now, if you'll all follow me to the body of this diary, I will address today's events, and what has happened in the saga Llbear began for my family a few weeks past.
Tonight we celebrate a glorious victory. Warriors and poets alike should sing songs for years to come after what has been accomplished with the infinite might of the DKos community. But while the battle is won, the war is not yet over - we must show our good will to our opponents by returning to Dallas and finish what we all started.
Ladies and gentlemen, today my family received the final approval at last for our new home that we have been fighting endlessly for ever since I was first introduced to Mr. Pierce. We must've fought through every possible obstacle and opponent in this battle, but it didn't matter...
...By the time all was said and done, the dust settled... and it was the strength and backing of this community that has earned my family its victory, and our new home.
More work is to be done, however. With moving into this new home, we require assistance in the transportation of our belongings currently held in storage from our efforts a couple weeks past. This will require 2-3 pickups approximately 2 trips, along with a few strong men and women to assist in the heavy lifting.
If any of those who came to my family's aid earlier in the month were available to assist, it shouldn't take us all more than a couple hours max of good, hard work. I learned very quickly that when DKos moves, it soars.
Idealy, I wish to start this mission as early as possible. Operations will begin at 10:00am CST, and the bulk convoy will rondevoue at the storage location where my family's belongings are held. The gate code and keys will be provided to start the process of loading up the cargo, While this is being done, I am hoping for a willing Kossack to escort my wife and son to pick up the keys to our new apartment and get it ready for the convoy to arrive.
Kill two birds with one stone, and finish this process all the quicker.
Every destination is within relative proximity to one another, and each trip shouldn't take longer than twenty minutes as it will be done after the morning traffic rush ends, granting us smooth passage.
Everything that is needed are as follows:
2-3 Reliable Trucks (transporting furniture in modular pieces).
3-5 Strong, Able Workers
1 Alternate Volunteer Vehicle (transporting my wife & son to pick up keys/prep work).
Those who wish to volunteer their efforts, I can be reached via email at gsp_zahatorte @ yahoo.com (please include name, a reliable phone number, and what you wish to contribute to the combined effort).
There is another veteran who I'm very close with, who will be requiring the assistance of the DKos community just as I was once helped... All efforts contributed to my family in the form of physical possessions will be shared with them in an effort to help them get on their feet as quickly as possible. My hope is that both of our families are pulled from the ashes and given the shining new future that has now been presented to my own family.
Kossacks... I cannot thank you enough for your efforts. Let's finish this campaign with a bang, and finish this saga once and for all.
