Graduating high school, I found my civics class most interesting. I found government was essentially a chess game that would be fun to play.
So you know what? That's what I did--and it will be my most stupid decision of my life. I'm not even sure why they offered Political Science as a major. I did learn a lot and opened my sphere of understanding, but after college---well its hopeless.
I love the information that I learned--yet when I was in college learning was not really the key. The classes themselves was not about reciting stupid information that happen, it was about discussing how to make us a better place. When discussing Rwanda, sure we had to read a book about that, but it was not about how that could have stopped but how we need to make sure that we don't have cowards as presidents.
When we read a book titled "Do They Hear You When You Cry" by Fauziya Kassindja we discussed how cultures vary and our own US law could send this woman back.
I was idealistic. I thought I could change the world. I have learned that it does not really matter. Being educated and aware of the world is great--but only a tidbit of information you need to know.
After high school you go to college, its just what you are supposed to do. SO I do that. I learn and get interested in specific subjects, go through the 4 years for a BS and then graduate.
I failed at finding jobs, had to go to a temp agency. The agency then said I was overqualified---so been just lost from there.
The point? Well its this... trickle down economics sounds great. Giving 500 bucks to each poor guy who filed taxes is great, but its not helping. Giving millionares about a 1 trillion dollar tax break so the can do whatever rich people do is not helping us americans. The wealth is not trinkling down.
Businesses are hurting, jobs are lacking, and college students are going even deeper into debt and getting their ph.d.s just because there are no fucking jobs.
I am lost. I have no idea what I am to do.
The fools we see on tv are actually very intelligent. Even the douche Tucker could make for a good employee. Yet the corporations who are seeking the rights of people are making billions.
I really do wish the teabaggers on the right where talking the truth. They are speaking the truth since January. Corporations do have too much power and are making way to much money off of us--but alas we are giving that money to them.
Being shot in the head made me realize what the hell was going on. I was paid 500 bucks for the ambulance ride that costs 2k. THe other 18k dollars was ignored by the insurance company. I was not able to get a job after college because of credit checks and this on my record. I am fucked until i can remove this scar.
I have not receive any document that offered me payments when I graduated from college. I received a collection call from the government saying they are going to start collecting from me the money I owe. I have no qualms paying the government for the money they coughed up to send me to school,, but I would enjoy it more if I had a job.
You guys really are stupid.
