I'm one of those PA-7 Democrats wondering who would step up now that Joe Sestak has decided to challenge Arlen Specter (D-R-D-?Phila. machine). It turns out there may be more than one.
Then I opened my inbox a few days ago to find an e-vite to a Bryan Lentz event and pa2010.com is spreading a rumor about one of Joe Sestak's '06 campaign people Teresa Touey. No way to confirm this, but I worry about how draining multiple primaries will be to volunteers, or for that matter donors in tough economic times.
Bryan Lentz is a sophomore state representative. You can probably find plenty on pahouse.gov. Bryan is having a gearing up rally tonight in Media, hopefully it will be decently attended. Pat Meehan's a competitive opponent and the GOP machine may not be as overwhelming as it once was in Delaware County, but it's still strong enough to be taken seriously.
Update Tonight's event was not any sort of official announcement, but the we were told Bryan would announce soon. Kossacks seem slightly pessimistic, Bryan's a great candidate.
