You're going to be shocked at the fifth column that is ACORN and its fellow travelers.
Since the U.S. Senate voted 83-7 earlier this month to cut off funding for ACORN, the activist/voter registration group has become so controversial that some are calling for sanctions against groups associated with it.
The debate is invading the race for U.S. Senate in Illinois.
Republican U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk announced Friday he will hold a news conference calling on the U.S. Census Bureau to sever its ties to Illinois’ largest union, the Service Employees International Union, because, Kirk says, the group is too close to ACORN.
And in a completely coincidental bit of news
The union endorsed Kirk’s front-running Democratic rival for the Senate seat, Democrat Alexi Giannoulias, the previous day.

What's the reason that Kirk is against SEIU and won't allow it to work for the USG in the census?
Nothing so crass as the fact it's a union that supported Obama and now supports Kirk's opponent for higher office.
No, it's plain old guilt by association, an association so close it rivals Saddam's love affair with Bin Laden.
The union even shares office space with an activist group "affiliated" with ACORN, Kirk says in his release.
OMG! I was ready to deport SEIU at sharing office space with an activist organization. After all, didn't the Republican National Convention devote half its air time to mocking "community activists"? But it's an activist organization "Affiliated" with ACORN!
SEIU...any last words?
But Morrison says ACORN closed up shop in Illinois two years ago and most of its employees left to work for other groups that severed ties to ACORN.
"I don’t think anyone in SEIU denies having a relationship with ACORN in the past but it hasn’t even existed in Illinois in two years," Morrison said.
That's exactly what I would expect them to say [eyes narrowing]
Won't somebody think of the children? Mark Kirk (R-Hair Helmet) is.
