They say the truth will set you free. Let's see if we can get some work done for true health care reform in America, now that the cat is out of the bag for everyone to see.
GOP Opposition To Health Bill Goes Beyond Details, Right To The "Core"
Thank you Senator McConnell for FINALLY stating the TRUTH. A truth I should add that most of us here already knew.
"But the core point is this: At the end of the day, if the government plan is either in the bill or out of the bill, whether they will be able to argue successfully or not whether tax funds are gonna be provided for abortion, whether or not they will be able to argue at the end that dollars for health care for illegals is in or out, what we do know is what the core of the bill is going to look like. We know that for sure," he said.
And the bottom line, said McConnell, is that Republicans don't like the bill at all."
So all this talk about bi-partisanship and working together was just another smoke screen just like the rest of the lies they have been telling all summer long.
So NOW IT IS TIME for the Democratic party INCLUDING POTUS Obama to dump the charade that we are going to have any type of support from the other side no matter what we do, and get on with doing what the people want and need.
2/3rds of the people support a public option. 70% of physicians support a public option. McConnell himself said it wasn't about a public option or not, IT DOESN'T MATTER!
Congressman Cantor was totally correct about the GOP Health Plan. It is something I have known for over 30 years when I first joined the ranks of the uninsured. There was only around 17 million of us then. The Republican Party doesn't give a rat's ass about the people of this country. Their policy truly is "Don't get sick" and "If you do, please die quickly. I KNOW! I left their party over 30 years ago, when I became uninsured and it was the SAME policy.
So now that the cat is out of the bag, can we please proceed without them?
