Stacie Ritter is a hardworking mother of twins from Pennsylvania. Because her insurer, CIGNA, wouldn't cover their treatment, Stacie lost everything.
Today, she's off to one of Ed Hanway's mansions to confront him about how he can make so much money and she can't get the treatment she needs for her children.
More details from Firedoglake
Stacie Ritter has twin daughters who were diagnosed with leukemia when they were four.
They both needed stem cell transplants and other cancer treatments. The twins survived, but the glands controlling their growth were damaged beyond repair from the treatment. To continue growing, they needed doctor-recommended growth-hormone injections regularly.
Stacie's husband's company switched to CIGNA health insurance, and CIGNA refused to cover the hormone shots. Each time Stacie takes her daughters to the doctor for the shots, it costs her $440. Between the cancer treatment and the denied care, Stacie and her husband had to file for bankruptcy.

Sept. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Stacie Ritter stood outside health insurer Cigna Corp’s Philadelphia headquarters clutching photocopied pictures of her four-year-old, cancer-stricken daughters as she shouted "shame."
Ritter, 35, along with thousands who protested outside the offices of major health insurers last week, gives voice to the complaint that companies may reap billions from health-care overhaul even as they deny treatments.
She says her identical twins, Madeline and Hannah, now 11, were denied hormone therapy prescribed by her endocrinologist.

Alan Grayson has shown us all how to fight back with the truth. No phony bipartisanship. People are dying, losing everything for insurance company profits.
