There's been no shortage of suggestions from the right that our President be impeached, assassinated, disqualified by the Supreme Court, or overthrown by a military coup so "we can take back our country."
Why are the extremists coming out of the woodwork with so much hostility right now? An Oxford professor had an explanation. He said, "What an election produces is a winner and a loser. And the loser is unreconciled."
He was speaking of Afghanistan and Iraq, but it aptly fits the hateful tantrums being thrown by the dispossessed losers of our last US election.

After studying elections in Iraq and Afghanistan, Oxford professor Paul Collier concludes that while the risk of violence decreases during an election year, the following year it more than doubles.
He further concluded that overall, an election slightly raises the odds that a country will relapse into civil war. (Gee that sounds familiar.)
"What an election produces is a winner and a loser,' says Collier. "And the loser is unreconciled."
In "uncivilized" countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, there are car bombs and outbreaks of violence, with fanatics brandishing their weapons in public and threatening not to let the election results stand. Of course here in the United States, the losers have accepted their defeat with so much more civility
