As everyone knows, this current recession has been harsh on the American people and small businesses alike, with jobs disappearing, foreclosures rising at a rapid pace, banks failing, and many retail businesses going under. Major bailouts have already gone to the banks on Wall Street and to the auto industry in Detroit, yet many people feel left out. Much as been documented about the suffering of people in former manufacturing centers in the Midwest, but one group of citizens suffering from the ill effects of the recession has been ignored, at least until now....
