Afghanistan is a drug war. Drug Biz $$$$$ drive the major violence.
"Clash of Civilizations" Delusions =VERSUS= Follow the Money.
The opium/heroin trade risks losing its wholesale sourcing. Afghans grow 90% of the poppies, their part of $80,000,000,000-a-year in smack.
Bad enough in the 1980s, we financed the Afghan irrigation systems. Then 1997-1998, Pakistan's 40,000 troops and artillery drove their druggies north. If and when the Afghans get a clean government... the same thing can happen. Same as when the Real Taliban took over the Binladen field army in 1999.
ASIF/Pentagon pressers and MSM shills label every attack "Taliban." This is silly. Religious fanaticism is rare. Afghans are less xenophobic than the likes of Beck and Lou Dobbs.
Our troops don't know which Afghans they are fighting.
So, ladies... bring in the bloodhounds.
Train nose-dog no-tech Combat Tracking Teams -- better than electronics for finding mines and explosives sites, good at filtering insurgents from public, and a miracle for tracking and offensive back-tracking ops.
Run AP3, fer shur. Plus, back-track to 100 gangster sites every six months.
Incompetence blows. BTF :::
Organized crime is the major enemy. Such as al-Qaeda and similar fanatics have served OC interests over and over.
We learned that organized crime was a major factor when Pakistan tracked down the money that financed 9/11. More than $200,000 for the expenses of the 19 hijackers. This stash came from the ransom from a kidnapping. Organized crime, all the way.
I'll publish a verison with links and an update to the Abdullah Abdullah position on the vote count. Looks to be George Bush doing the election vote-counting, his Florida crew anyway.
Doc's for the financing of the IED attacks is coming.....
And dog teams are the key tactical item. No question. But Army/Marines haven't done serious nose dog work since 1975. They think a one week pass-through at Ft. Leonard Wood is combat tracking....
Obama got blown up the ass with the TARP/stimulus project and Summers/Geithner doing the wet work.
Afghanistan will be more of the same, long as drug $$$$ violence is tagged "Taliban" for no damn reason but justifying budget.
