Not sure who saw Ron Reagan on Hardball a few moments ago but he was absolutely stunning.
Reagan went up against the leader of the Center for Security Policy Frank Gaffney debated Afghanistan policy. It was absolutely wonderful and you HAVE to see it.
The two went back and forth with Gaffney supporting Cheney's concept of Obama "dithering" in the Middle East. Reagan, and Matthews to an extent, would have none of it. It all culminated with the two screaming at eachother about who will ultimately take responsibility for Afghanistan. Gaffney declaring that Obama must send more troops in or Democrats will embrace Taliban rule. Reagan would have none of it and told him his argument held no water.
As things cooled down Gaffney took one parting shot. I think you can guess what it was.
That Ron was more or less a disgrace to his father. Whether or not you liked St. Ronnie, this was clearly a lowblow. Ron sternly told him not to go there and he'd have a nice conversation with him the next time he saw him.
Matthews took a parting shot at Gaffney stating "the closest thing to the Taliban is the religious right." Well done Chris.
Oh and hey, Rep. Grayson is on!
