A short one, but to the point.
Almost all last month, hell all year, we have been hearing about how every election after last years is a "referendum" on President Obama's leadership. Does the NY23 Special Election have anything to do with the local issues in that district. No,its about President Obama. Does the Virginia Gubernatorial Race have anything to do with dissatisfied Democrats who view their candidate as not having a clear vision and plan, and as CNN themselves pointed out, truthfully for once, that he ran away from the President, the very man who was the first Democrat to win Virginia in last years race since 1964. Even after there was a poll conducted that said most voters in that race are not voting about President Obama NO!!!! How dare I think that, its about President Obama. What about the New Jersey Gubernatorial race, which has the unpopular incumbent in the race in some polls ahead of the very guy that was supposed to be the hope of the Republicans to save them from this evil government spending, and taxes that the evil President Obama hopes to espouse, thus leading this country into socialism, Marxism, racism, sexism, communism, feudalism, abolitionism, activism, absurd-ism, and any other damn ism word they can find to scare the hell outta everyone.
Where was the media when we had these same races in 2001, where the Republicans lost hold of these seats? Was this a referendum on the policies of George W. Bush? I didn't hear that then, did you? Did these wins constitute to the Republican leadership in Congress to moderate their positions? I didn't hear that then, did you?
But then, what can we expect from the media that suddenly comes to Fox News' defense when the White House points out that they have a conservative bent. That Fox News is the equivalent of MSNBC, although I don't recall a former Democratic Congressman with a former Presidential candidate like Mike Gravel giving commentary every three hours weekly. That many of those quotes that disparage the President only come from their opinion shows; even after explicit evidence that shows those opinion talking points ending up in the "news correspondents" reports. The same people who defend Fox, even after this shameless nut licking that "news correspondent" Chris Wallace did with Rush Limbaugh.
Christ, why doesn't he just take his pants off and lick em live like he wants too, and didn't Rush just say you were a "conservative" network?!
Listen, whatever happens today, for the people of New Jersey, New York, and Virginia, just go vote. Do your civic duty and go vote, I'm gonna get a shot.
