So I just went back to this article I linked to yesterday in my diary titled Give credit where credit is due: CNN. The article was titled: "Analysis: Elections not a referendum on Obama." In the diary, I related how pleased and surprised I was that an MSM outlet didn't succumb to the temptation to claim that Obama was in deep trouble due the results of the gubernatorial elections in NJ and VA. I didn't have a really good reason to, but I just wanted to reread the article.
Well, I had a little surprise waiting for me when I clicked on the link back to the article. Join me below the fold as I go on a brief rant...
Freakin' CNN actually CHANGED the title of the article!!!
It now reads, Analysis: Do the Elections Spell Trouble for Obama?
If you don't believe me, click on the link!
Unfreakin'believable!!! Oh wait, this is exactly what we have come to expect isn't it? After all, CNN has to get its ratings up to par somehow, right? Well, CNN, if you keep pulling this kind of s%^t, you can kiss your credibility among us progressives goodbye!
Mind you, CNN didn't bother to change a WORD of the text of the article. Maybe my diary even caused them to realize the title was too easygoing on our more-beloved-than-the-douchebag-who-proceeded-him president. But maybe I'm giving myself too much credit. Come on, editors of CNN.com, not all of your readers are going to fall for your sensationalist and alarmist c$%p like that. All you are doing is making your website look like a farce.
Wake up and smell the roses, and give back the credit I and (according to my poll) 98 others gave you yesterday.
I ended yesterday's diary with a poll, so it's only appropriate that I have an antithetical poll today. Enjoy, and help me continue my rant.
All right, back to pursuing my life now that I have that off my chest :)
