Currently on the house floor a congressman is objecting just to talk over the congresswoman trying to enter their revisions to the bill. They are only trying to tie up the house currently by just talking about the rules about objecting.
They are simply trying to enter into an illegal filibuster.
"Mr. Speaker I reserve my right to object"
"Parliamentary Enquiry, Mister Speaker"
Mary Jo Kilroy:
I ask unamimous inquiry to revise" "I object"
"Do I not have to right to revise and extend my remarks?" - "I object"
These sick bastards are just talking over Congresswomen asking to enter their input into the bill that addresses women's health issues.
Donna Christenson from Virgin Islands is up now:
Repubs interrupted to ask for more time for them. Violating the rules.
(sorry for the hurried typing)
"in support of providing ... [object object object] providing health care to the uninsured"
I'm tired.
This is no kind of diary but I wanted to highlight what is going on right now.
Anybody got any input on who to call to tell the Republicans to stop talking over the congresswomen?
Update: They now are making female republicans object to the congresswomen.
Wow. I can't even hear one congressperson to enter their remarks at all. Republicans are sick.
Update:
"The chair expects that we respect eachother's rights and on that side we permit the members on that side" -"Further inquiry Mr. Speaker"
"Further Inquiry"
Dingell - "The chair does not recognize the "
"The unanimous consent request must first be heard"
Update: Republicans interrupting just to talk about the rules. Can't object to policy because why would they want to be seen objecting to women's issues which is really the object of this game.
Rep. Diane Watson:
"Because single women are twice as likely to become uninsured, as married women and need coverage, I ask unanimous consent to revis-"
"Without object so ordered"
Rep. Gwen Moore:
"Because domestic violence costs as much as 750 billion dollars " "I object"
Dingell:
"Gentlewoman is out of order"
Now whiny crybabies are trying to ask for more time.
I think that was just Schmidt just calling it a job-killing bill.
LOL.
Update:
"Job killing bill" is now the latest meme, Ladies and Gentlemen!
