RedStater's are clutching their pearls at the moment. Apparently, per a RS thread by Robert Hahn, Obama used the word "teabag" to describe the tea-partiers. The actual quote they are claiming is "Does anybody think that the teabag, anti-government people are going to support them if they bring down health care?"
Sorry if this is (or will be covered) in the normal RSDB, but couldn't resist.
Update: As the 2nd comment points out, there has been some clarification by the Congressman who originally relayed the story (which was not referenced in the RS Posting). However, the RedStaters are having a field day with some internal fratricide as one of their own points out that some people still use the word Teabagger as a noun, in a non-perjorative way to describe the tea-partiers. Great fun, as they hold themselves out to be paragons of civility.
Well of course, the fine cultured people at RedState just can't believe that the president would use such a term. It must be such a shock to their otherwise polite conversation. I'm sure the "women folk" fainted, and the men had to steel themselves.
The comments of course use every type of slam against President Obama. My favorite, "picture of class", followed by "the only class this clown has ever known, is in a Madrassa" PRICELESS Red State humour!! One cultured individual in the same thread says "I have always said he is nothing more than Street Thug, and he proves me right every time he opens his NASTY DISGUSTING mouth" (caps per the original comment).
What a hoot. Keep it classy RedStaters.
Of course, the fact that Obama used the word TeaBag, not teabaggERS, of course escaped these folks. Perhaps the always fun Video of GA Congressman Phil Gingrey is in order:
