This is in response to Ministry of Truth's heart wrenching diary posted just a few minutes ago - I am the Homeless - Please Help.
I am not too proud to ask for help in keeping MoT blogging. He's an authentic voice that blogs tirelessly about the issues and candidates we care about.
I think we should do what we can to help him financially as a blogger. He blogs almost daily here and he's been a big help over at my site The Progressive Electorate
Here's a paypal donation link I set up of which I will make sure MoT is the recepient
if not working - try either of these email addreses: martin@winjamgroup.com or admin@progressiveelectorate.com
I got to know MoT well over the past few months. We don't always agree. And he's not always right. But he will admit when he's not right and made a mistake. Something that a lot of our best bloggers will not do. He's called himself out for being too hard on the President even when that diary made the rec list.
And even in a time of great personal despair he is looking out for the well being of those that he considers to be less fortunate
Problems such as poverty, unemployment and homelessness seem distant and something that doesn't hit as close to home until they become your problems. With that in mind, I would like to ask for your help in caring for societies less fortunate going into this holiday season, as many of us will nnot be sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner in our own homes with our own families. Many will be going without this Thanksgiving and during the upcoming holiday's, now more than ever, and I now count myself among them. Therefore, if you can give to the less fortunate, I implore you to do so, but first I ask you to help others even less fortunate than I before I dare to ask you for anything for myself.
Please donate to coalitionforthehomeless.org if you can, anything you can give is very appreciated.
Please donate to the Coaltion For the Homeless if you can but also consider Donating to keep MoT blogging while he is looking for work is an investment. He always challenges me to dig deeper and work harder. He's become an important voice in this community and he's a real nice guy. A real thoughtful guy. I know we are all in a bit of a pinch, but for those of thus that benefit from what MoT and others do, we can afford to dig deep and give them a hand.
I will personally make sure that he gets any donations sent to him through that link.
Thanks for listening and helping MoT. He deserves it for all that he does.
