When I picked up Palin's book today I thought it would start like this:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the End of Times.
I've talked to a lot of people who believe Obama is both the Anti-Christ and bad for America. I find it ironic that these people, who think we are in the End Times, worry about deficit spending.
So after watching this interview with Palin I was struck by what she said concerning the Israeli settlements.
Money quote..."more and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days, weeks, and months ahead..."
It sounded like a reference to the start of the Rapture where the Jews are annihilated in Israel. I'm not the only one who thought this.
So does Sarah Palin and her followers have some sort of genocidal suicide pact disguised as a self-fulfilling prophecy? I have no idea. But I've always felt that the Bush Administration failed on purpose so that they could argue that government isn't the answer. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
During the 2008 Republican Presidential debates I submitted a video question to YouTube:
"End of the World...good or bad thing?"
It wasn't selected but I think it's a good question to ask our candidates. If they say YES, I can't see them as electable. If they say NO, I doubt Christianist will see them as electable. Either way I'm curious.
Weird times we are living in.
