they support Limbaugh: they feel laughed at by TV, Hollywood, universities, books, society in general. They feel laughed at and left out. It's easy for popular to comfort and cajole people like that, even with really, really stupid stuff.

politics. A level that is low enough for average folk to understand and identify with. We don't need no policy. Just family crises and aw shucks, you betchas to keep us distracted from reality, which is too complicated for us.

media reporting.

I think that Palin appeals to different people for different reasons.

1. Many women of a certain type see some of themselves in her.  They can relate to Palin (no education, pumping out kids) in a way they can't relate to most people.

2. Other women see what they wish they could be, and this is appealing to some people.  They wish they could be her because Palin isn't smart (obviously), and yet somehow she is a prominent, famous person.  

3. Some men are attracted to her.  Basically she is everything an authoritarian man fantasizes about - a decent looking baby factory who likes to pick on liberals.

I think that about covers it.

Palin's fecundity is not the source of her appeal. And her kids are none of your business or mine.

Women are for producing offspring!
If you are still a sexually active woman and oppose abortion you are going to keep popping them out.
It's a fact, jack!

A science teacher: I used make sure my 7th and 8th grade students knew that.
"No doing it, if you don' t want a baby. And you are all to young to be doing it, so don't!"

Sarah Palin and her supporters are identical. They all use catch phrases and have that haunting deer in the headlights look.

Can this many people be so stupid? Why?

fertility/smertility!  This woman has used her children as personal political props from day one.

She also realized that with an illegitimate grandchild on the way, all she had to do was parade the prego daughter and the media would react.

Once the media reacted, she had her "cover".  She could criticize the media for going after her daughter's scandal and, quite efficiently, hide the fact that she's a dumb$hit from all of us.

To this day, Sarah Palin has not done a "legitimate press conference" - wonder why?  You betcha!  She's unqualified, uneducated, and massacres the english language when she does.  

A real press conference would reduce this woman to an egghead and she (and the McCain campaign) knew this from day one.

Let's face it:  The ONLY real attraction to Palin is due to our obsession with reality television where friends stab friends in the back, daughters are having premarital sex, the alliance turns against the underdog - while the audience cheers on.

Hell, maybe she'll soon fly herself in a balloon across Alaska?

Using those kids and parading them for everyone to see in their Wasilla duds (before the $250,000 makeover) like Wasilla hillbillies.

One daughter is carrying the baby hiding an obvious pregnant stomach.  They knew that the press would jump all over it.

She used her daughter's pregnancy (and refuse to give press conferences) to shield her own idiocy.

hmm.....now let's guess....

On Oprah she was decidedly "empathetic" to a mother who considers abortion.....

maybe that's why her medical records were sealed?

One never knows with this liar.

One other thing this hillbilly totally underestimated and that was the intelligence of american women.

She saw Hillary rise to political power, largely buoyed by the women of this country;  she thought:
same anatomy so why not?  

What she failed to consider in that anatomical comparison between herself and Hillary Clinton was this:  Hillary Clinton has a brain which functions properly.

Although the list is voluminous as to how this fictitious "shill" was foist upon this country (we can thank dementia-riddled McCain for that!), the bottom line is that the Palin Saga and her entire family is a trainwreck on the national stage.

Everyone stops to see the crash....which is precisely what we're witnessing every day.

When a male candidate / public figure stumps with his kids, it's to demonstrate what a family man he is.  Why in Palin's case is it about her ovaries?

... it is as if their brains are turned off and they ramble off drivel such as: "she's for freedom", "she tells it like it is", "drill, baby, drill".

Did any of them mention that they like Sarah Palin because of her kids, family, or fecundity?

Honestly, I don't think it goes that deep.
