Today we have a new interesting possibly contest, with M Michaud representative and S Collins senator. After the poll against O Snowe, we see M Michaud can be competitive too in democratic side. And Susan Collins appear until now more weak than O Snowe.
Yesterday we talk few about the difficulties for replace M Michaud if he run for another office, but we must tell the gubernatorial contest is important too, and have strong candidates for 2010 gubernatorial race is very important.
Until now, no-one of three selected democrats in these diaries about Maine is running for governor. J Baldacci obviously can not by term limits but the house representatives can run. S Collins run not again for her senate seat until 2014 and some democratic candidate can think in run for governor in 2010 and for senate in 2014 if S Collins appear enough weak.
I think the democrat politics from Maine must be courageous and audacious in this moment for can become an alternative to republicans in this state and profit better all their chances.
I remember and update from previous diaries the structure of this serie.
