The following quote from the AP article linked below is specious propaganda as much so as the Bush 43 admin implying that Saddam Hussein had nuclear and chemical arms or their insinuation that Saddam was linked to 9/11, to international terrorism, and to anthrax attacks in United States. The bottom line is that John Kerry, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Barack Obama are American Establishment politicians with the same imperial agenda in Afghanistan that Bush 43 had. Making Bush (whom I detest) look bad does not make Obama look good or make his agenda just. It makes the Obama administration hypocrites.
Although limited to a review of military operations eight years old, the report could also be read as a cautionary note for those resisting an increased troop presence there now.

Allow this ultra-liberal to be the first to proclaim the use of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee report to be pure partisan political propaganda. Don't overlook the fact that Sen. John Kerry, an influential player in President Obama's Afghanistan policy, chairs this committee. Whether bin Laden is dead or alive in no way justifies U.S. escalation of its 8 year long war in Afghanistan and the illegal U.S. occupation of Afghanistan. The quote posted above from the AP article linked below in no way relates to or justifies President Obama's stupendously stupid decision to escalate the U.S. war in Afghanistan.
Senate report: Bin Laden was 'within our grasp' - By Calvin Woodward, Associated Press Writer, Sun Nov 29, 2009
Too many liberals in the blogosphere are consumed with the health care reform bill. They are right that it should contain a public option, but this and every other issue can successfully come only after 3 more important issues are addressed.
The first imperative is to immediately end all U.S. wars abroad except for legally-sound targeted action against known, indicted terrorists. The second imperative is to immediately address the pending global disaster of man-made climate change through effective legislation and international agreements. The third imperative is to repair the American economy and financial system so that United States produces sustainable jobs and prevents collapse of our financial system
Liberals have fallen down on the job by not protesting the ongoing U.S. wars of choice and by accepting President Obama's apparant cave in to the wishes of the pro-war lobby to escalate the U.S. war in Afghanistan. 30,000 or more additional American troops committed over a long period of time in Afghanistan will doom not only Obama's presidency but America's hope for a sustainable recovery and every other issue progressives hold dear.
