Today, 7 December 2009, Thom Hartman suggested on his show that Move-On members and other progressives should sign-up for Fix-News' Tea-Baggers and then attend their meetings and protests to influence them into demanding repealing the loop-holes and tax breaks that allow the wealthiest Americans, such as Warren Buffet, to pay fewer taxes than their secretaries do!
We can also use the Tea-Bagger's "visceral hatred of banks and insurance companies who have been sucking our blood for decades" horror at the idea of corporations as persons" and their "mistrust of the Fed" to get them to support the change we need to re-regulate Wall Street, end the Bush tax cut for the very rich, and maybe even shift them over to supporting ending the monopoly granted to health insurance companies and treating corporations as "persons" in legal actions or allowing them to contribute to political campaigns as "persons" as they do now. Infact maybe we could get their support for making it illegal for these corporate non-persons from paying for 521 advertisements during elections. They are angry enough to want to punish the rich, the banks, the corporations who have taken federal aid or have federal no-bid contracts. It might be a great idea, since it seems they don't seem to support the Republican party. As long as we don't mention abortion or gun control these suckers could well support the causes we care for and could even be convinced to support pro-change Democrats, or to run their own neo-Nazi candidates as a third party and thus split the "Radical Republican" vote and allow Progressive Democrats to become the representatives of traditionally "safe Republican districts,: such as the New York's 23. This might not be a bad idea. The TBs I know are some of the most gullible people I have ever met! Why not channel their anger against the party of big busiess and wealth and into supporting the party of the common man.
