My songwriting friend Michael White has joined with actor Karolyn Grimes, who played Zuzu in the film, "It's A Wonderful Life", to offer a seasonal gift to the homeless and the hungry. From Thanksgiving through Christmas 2009, 100% of all proceeds for iTunes downloads of Michael's "It's A Wonderful Life" are being donated to homeless shelters and food banks across the country.

Of Michael's musical tribute to the classic film, Karolyn Grimes writes: "It is GREAT! You have found the moments from our beloved film and made them beautiful and magical. I have to have this song — you have captured the essence of the film and given us a great gift. Love it!"Zuzu's Web-page

Michael White says, "I love this film so much, I wrote a simple song as a tribute to the film and to remind all of us how very fortunate we all are. Though these are tough economic times, as was the case in the original 1946 Frank Capra film, if even a few folks download the song for 99 cents, it could make a huge difference to those whose circumstances have left them homeless and hungry at the holiday season."

If you like the song, go download it from iTunes ~ it's a gift to yourself, to those less fortunate, it is a win-win situation!

I've been listening to Michael's music for over 30 years.  He's provided touching background music for many of my videos over the years.  He is a dear friend and a terrific artist.  Check him out.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
