Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. Link to your recruitment diary is OK though.

Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. To join, roll up a character on Garrosh and when you log in type
         /who wreck list

and contact (via in-game mail or /whisper) our official Welcome Wagon, Papagenia. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.

Stress relief and a shout out to our Classic Content Coordinator below the fold:

OK, here's our guild leader Dkosmama with this week's update:

Playing in a guild reduces real life stress, so says a study from Queensland University of Technology. And we all know how stressful real life can get at the holidays.

So if anyone started a character with the Wreck List a while ago, now might be a great time to come back. The new patch just dropped and It makes leveling characters a zillion times easier. The new quest tracking-map integration feature means no more running around in circles looking for stuff. And the starting areas have been made even easier with monsters no longer able to attack you unless you attack them first.

The new five person Icecrown dungeons are really cool, fun and challenging. And the new dungeon finder is awesome. No more waiting around for groups.

A new feature of Wreck List membership has been our Thursday night old-world achievement raids. We did Black Wing Lair a couple weeks ago and last week we knocked off AQ 20. Tonight we’re going to do AQ 40. The big one is coming New Years Eve, though.

Thursday, Dec. 31st, 9pm server time

Many people go to New Years Eve parties, but if you're going to be home that night...consider this:  Buck Naked Molten Core!

(1) Unload your gear in your bank, we're heading to Molten Core with nothing but our tabards.   That's right, no weapons, no armor, even hunters will be punching things (but please bring your AoE tanking pets).

(2) Grab your beverage of choice and head to Thorium Point if you know how to get there - if not, we'll summon you.  Attunement is helpful if we wipe, but we ain't wiping and with 1 warlock we can summon you into the instance (attuned or not).

(3) "the rules" -- anything you pick up during the raid you can use, starting at 9pm - whether It’s a grey dagger, a white shield, a green staff, or a level 60 epic pair of cloth pants, whatever.

So, let's have a fun event we can enjoy and get an achievement at the end.  This event is sanctioned for everybody levels 58 and above.

A huge thank you to Tamalli for organizing these!

Running old content while naked (disclaimer - Teen rated game so "naked" is wearing leather underwear. Which, now that I've typed it and am rereading it, may be worse). Life doesn't get better than this.

And if you are starting, or came in to hang out with us and level but it got too frustrating, please stop in and give it a try. My mage got most of a level in an hour this morning. Literally without trying.

Take care, and see you in Orgrimmar. For the Horde!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
