In the world of Federal Criminal Defense we always say...."if the government and the Court are pissed at you, you know you are doing your job and doing it right."
Well, when it comes to HCR, you know someone is screwing the pooch when Republicans have fallen deadly quiet and instead Lieberman has joined forces with Obama and Reid to attack Dean.
Gibbs in his most recent talk to the press pointed out two things which shows we should all grab our ankles and get ready for the obvious.
First, he claims Dean should shut his pie hole because no one can call this bill a failure given that it will insure 30 million Americans. In a word "go screw yourself Gibbs." The 30 million number comes from people who will be forced to jump into the cauldron of Private Health Insurance. Oh joy of joys. We will collectively pay money to the same industry who has been, dare I say, FUCKING THE HELL OUT OF US. But naturally, they will be closely watched and legislated by the government as to stop this harsh screwing. First the government is going to open up their can of whoop ass on the financial industry and regulate them back to sanity. In other words, we haven't a chance in hell that Health Care Insurers will ever be reined in or forced to act human. And don't you worry, as Gibbs points out, no person who can not afford the bill will be forced to pay it. Instead the middle class will pay the bill and the poor people will merely have to go without a host of other programs which were sucked dry by the HCR cost...most of which is paying private insurers rapacious amounts. Or at least 27% more than Medicare can do it for.
When a reporter asked Gibbs about isn't this bill nothing more than a gift to insurers the stooge asserted that if it was so good why are private insurers dumping billions into lobbying and advertising to fight the bill? Yes, dumb ass, they were paying oodles of money to fight the bill. AND THEY WON! So that little logic sucks ass. They came, they played, they paid, and they won. We will now have limited reform as to their practices and we are going to move a bajillion dollars from the public coffers, into theirs, and we will get lousy overpriced insurance.
Now there's some change I could go for.
If Dean was to run against Obama tomorrow he would kick his ass.
P.S. Rahm Emanuel...go play power broker with your brother in Hollywood and stop screwing us so you can claim your Machiavellian ways work. You suck, your tactics suck, and you would gladly let these people pay you on Tuesday for a hamburger today so you could tout it as a victory.
P.S.S. When the Republicans held power we were force fed war(s), deregulation, tax cuts for the rich, on and on. Hate them but they sure know how to use the power they win.
P.S.S.S. I'm voting the Dean/Grayson in 2012. I guess we should have known it would end this way when that crook Geithner showed up. He intentionally refused to pay taxes he knew he owed since the statute of limitations had run when they caught him cheating. In essence he said "yes, I broke the law, stole from the government, but you caught me too late to prosecute me. Thus, I'm not paying." And this guy is here to reform someone?
