Ever since Howard Dean, former Governor of Vermont, the man who brought the Democratic Party back to life as head of the DNC, came out against President Lieberman's wishes on the Senate Health Care bill, he has been under attack--by the White House (Gibbs), by the Senate "Democrats" (Landrieu and Rockefeller) and by alleged progressives, John Podesta's article at Think Progress--which should be read and is a big POS.
Dean is the man out in front speaking truth to power regarding this giveaway to the insurance industry. What can we do to show our support for Howard Dean?
- Cancel any donations to the DNC--I did yesterday because of the Democrats in the Senate allowing President Lieberman to get his way regarding a health care giveaway to the Insurance Industry--and his wife. The guy who took my call actually agreed with everything I said when cancelling my monthly donation. But, I think this point should be made very clear: "I will donate to the Democratic Party when they start being Democrats."
- Donate to Progressive Causes such as--
Democrats of America at:

Democracy for America at:

Act Blue at:

- Contact Progressive Radio Programs--Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, Thom Hartmann, Ed Schultz, Air America, etc. with your support of Howard Dean's position.
- Contact your Representative at--
http://www.house.gov/
and Senators at--
http://www.senate.gov/...
And tell them you support Dean's position. I called mine yesterday and told them not to vote for this POS in the Senate.
- Contact the White House at--
http://www.whitehouse.gov/
phone # (202) 456-1111
Let them know what you think and what your plans are for 2010 and 2012.
- In your contacts with your Senators and White House, tell them to strip Lieberman of all Homeland Security Chairmanship and remove him from other committees. Kick Lieberman out of the caucus.
- Also, inform your Senators to change the Filibuster rules. Allowing 40 Republicans and 1-4 conservadems to hold good legislation hostage and/or kills it should not be acceptable.
- If you are a member of organized labor, contact your leadership. Tell them to not support (even implicitly) this bad bill that is a cash cow giveaway to the Insurance Industry.
