Politico is reporting, and you can confirm it with a CQ MoneyLine Search that he gave $1500 to Howard Dean, the first contribution in September of 2003, and the 2nd in February of 2004, as well as donating $1000.00 to Harry Reid in 2003. and $600 to Evan Bayh. (See screen shot below)
This is a guy who, until today, was arguably the most reactionary Dem in the house, voting with the Republicans on basically everything, and he had publicly stated that he would not vote for Pelosi as speaker, though it's unclear if he was talking about his caucus vote, or if he was going to pull a "Trafficant" on the floor of the house.
Color me more confused than George W. Bush trying to read "My Pet Goat."
