Happy Tuesday Everyone! Khloemi asked me to fill in for her today, with one special request, that I post plenty of birds :) I decided since we are just days away from the end of 2009 I would share some of my favorite photographs from the past year.
It's bitter cold here in WNY today, so join me in looking back at some warmer days spent with my feathered friends.
I know I haven't posted any LOL's, so feel free to share yours!
One of the area's Bald Eagles:
One of my regular "city" visitors, male Red-bellied Woodpecker
One of the young Red-tailed Hawk youngsters that I watched all spring:
We found this Snapping Turtle crossing the road on a sunny day:
Every year a small flock of Rose Breasted Grossbeaks hang out in the country yard for a few weeks:
Green Heron at Jamaica Bay, NY
Osprey at Jamaica Bay, NY
Great Egret at Jamaica Bay, NY
This little one was very curious about me and my camera :) Young White-tailed Fawn on the country property
Every spring the Eastern Bluebirds come back to nest in our boxes.
What could be cuter than a newly fledged American Robin?
And last but not least :) My favorite "city" backyard pair.
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
