Last year, I was a Sirius subscriber with a Sirius radio. Today, I am a SiriusXM subscriber with an XM Radio with the Best of Sirius.
Last year, I owned a 19-inch standard def TV. This year, I own a 19-inch 720p HDTV. Last year, I was a Sprint phone guy. This year, I'm a Verizon.
Last year, I lived in a major city. This year, I don't. Last year, sis lived with us. This year, she has her own place in another city.
Last year, mom was involved with a crackhead. This year, the crackhead is on the verge of prison time, and mom's not dealing with him anymore. And I finally got to punch him one. So there's that.
Last year, Christmas was lonely, and horrible. This year, best Christmas in a long time. Last year, I owned one PC; this year I own two.
Last year, I was not a Craig fan. This year, I'm working on it; thanks, guys!
Last year, I had never gone to a presidential inaugural. This year, $30 for a train, and a 2-mile walk allowed me to stand on The National Mall at 12:04pm EST on 1/20 as history was being made before my eyes. I can check that off the Bucket List!
Last year, Tiger Woods was the most respectable guy in athletics. This year...well, so much for that.
Last year, the Redskins showed some promise. This year...well, at least they got rid of that annoying Vinny character.
Last year, Mike Leach was the hottest commodity in college football. Today, as I predicted just 25 hours ago, he was fired.
But a few things haven't changed. I still don't like Congress. Or people who text while driving. Or Fox News. Or not making money. Any money.
So, as we enter the final day of 2009...here's my wish for 2010: get a state ID, Social, and a job. Or hope for $10,000 to fall out of the sky so I can get all three. And keep my healthcare, too.
And I leave you with this video:
Because I'm dancing out of this 2009, y'all. Drink as much as you can stand, but don't drive if you do. Go Stanford, beat Oklahoma in the Sun Bowl on CBS this afternoon at 11:30am PST.
