We all saw Jon Stewart make the intellectual case against CNBC -- showing how they served as a PR machine for Wall Street instead of holding Wall Street accountable.

But Jon Stewart is not an activist. It's up to all of us to take advantage of the momentum Jon Stewart created and really pressure CNBC to fundamentally change their approach to financial journalism.

Today, a motley crew of respected economists, journalists, and progressive leaders (including Markos) took up that challenge -- launching an "Open Letter to CNBC" and inviting the public to sign. When 5,000 people sign, the letter will be delivered to CNBC's headquarters.

Full letter is posted at www.FixCNBC.com.
