         And Ed Henry has always been a really annoying self-important jerky type of reporter.  The kid that always sat in the front row, right in front of the teacher and madly waved his arms to answer every question.
         And Jake Tapper---ewwww.
         Oh and Lou Dobbs---ugh.
         I never watch any of the horribles on FOX, so those are the worst of the rest.

        According to DCRTV--a local media site I like to frequent--MTP is still in 1st, but ABC's This Week is steadily gaining, within 150,000 viewers now.

        I can bet the dropoff is from a lot of leaning independents (such as I) who can tell the show has drifted to the right.

  that the average man on the street cares that much about the deficit.  In fact, after watching Leno's Jaywalking too many times, I bet most couldn't even tell you what a deficit is.  Regular everyday people with regular jobs, including some college grads, couldn't name the 2 candidates running for President.  They couldn't spell Obama.  And you're trying to tell me they have a big concern with the deficit?  uh---no.  
    I'd love to know how that deficit question was posed.

  I was on a transportation bus today and the driver was listening to some talk radio show.  By the things being said (I remember POTUS being called gutless) I could tell it had to be some wingnut show.  The host had an english accent.  Any idea who this idiot was or may have been?

  about half on the list are directly dependent on RW talk radio or come out of it or are still in it. the rest depend heavily on it, especially those related to fox, to make their jobs easier- they know the talking points they get every day have already been prechewed by limbaugh and hannity to an audience of tens of millions before the evening news, making them acceptable no matter how false or hypocritical or absurd they are. talk radio always has their back.

  it's a great system for undermining democracy and giving a 20% minority the voice of 50%.

  and until progressives start taking the radio monopoly seriously progress will continue to come much harder than it would if democracy wasn't shouted down by a pack of loudmouths who have been given the biggest soapbox in the country to sell lobbyist talking points 24/7 and enable and intimidate the politicians deciding the country's future.
