I'm sort of amazed that nobody has mentioned this.
Sen. Russ Feingold (D-WI) is holding a hearing today into "The Legal, Moral, and National Security Consequences of 'Prolonged Detention,'" i.e. President Obama's proposed policy for dealing with people the White House calls terror suspects.
The hearing began at 10:00 am EDT. It can be viewed online here. The hearing was adjourned at 11:42 EDT. I'll try to remember to come back and post a link to a transcript if and when that goes up on the Judiciary Committee website.

This is my first Mothership so forgive me if I get some details wrong. See gchaucer2's diary on how to Live Blog for more info.
In what is a rare, if unfortunate, example of bipartisanship from him, my Junior Senator, Tom Coburn, has already given a strong defense of President Obama's proposed policy.
A few rules:
No pictures! - not a one.
Please only post transcriptions as replies to the first comment.
New diaries should be posted when the comments are around 200.
As I suspected, we didn't need any further diaries for this hearing.
