I'm Sending Republicans Monopoly Moneytm...
Because They Cannot Be Trusted With Real MoneyIt's sad, but it's true.
Republicans cannot be trusted with real money. So I'm sending them Monopoly
tm money instead.
From reckless, budget-busting spending to billions wasted in Iraq to giving our hard-earned dollars away to fat-cat chums with no-bid contracts (Haliburton), Republicans (sadly) have pissed away any claims they might have once had to fiscal sense.
The Republican Party cannot be trusted with real money. So I'm sending them Monopoly
tm money instead.

This is going to be an extended, grassroots campaign. I hope many of you join me.
ImagineImagine Tom DeLay, Bill Frist, the folks at the RNC opening envelopes that they expect to be filled with donations and finding currency that they can only used if they land on Baltic Avenue.
Imagine how humorous it will be for the press (especially local press) to report that a Republican incumbant, like Senator DeWine, or a Republican challenger (like, say, Maryland senate-hopeful Steele) received $10,000 from constituents -- in a form that they can only spend during a parlor game at Aunt Petunia's. Because their constituents don't trust them with the real stuff.
Now, imagine how delicious it will be to send a clear message to Democrat Emeritus Joe Lieberman in this way:
"Dear Senator Lieberman:
Enclosed is a donation for $500 -- in Monopoly moneytm. Why am I giving you Monopoly moneytm? Because you are compromising our national security by constantly siding with the Bush administration and supporting a conflict that is wasting precious American dollars (not to mention precious American lives).
You have shown you cannot be trusted with real money or real responsibility. Here's some pretend money that you can practice with, and hopefully it will teach you valuable life-lessons on how to use your power as a United States senator responsibly.
P.S. Although I've given you $100 in Monopoly moneytm, I've sent your Democratic primary challenger, Ned Lamont, $100 of the real thing. Just thought you'd want to know.
P.P.S. If you'd like to take a look at Ned Lamont's positions, his Web site is nedlamont.com.
Yours truly,
A Concerned Citizen
