(From TWD)
Were those employees from ACORN stupid? Yes.
Did they embarrass their organization? No question.
Should they be subjected to the latest nutcase right-wing fringe witch hunt? Hell no.
And it is a shame that they have been victimized but undefended by anyone in the rational online community who know a few bad seeds don't speak for all.
I am so glad that Ed Schultz even gave an interview to ACORN's CEO, Bertha Lewis, even though he was asking questions from a conservative talking point perspective like he was on Fixed Propaganda himself. Lewis didn't deserve a question based off of Richard Shelby, because it doesn't take a full time political insider to know where a nut like Shelby stands on this.
The Alabama Senator, just like this other idiots calling for a few scale investigation from the DOJ on ACORN, want to bury this organization and emboldened their Propaganda Comedian channel and radical agenda into celebrating their feats.
A "duh comment" if there ever was.
Yet, no one on mainstream online left has defended ACORN as a whole here, outside of the incomparable Media Matters.
As ACORN's CEO said, Karl Rove sent out a memo to target ACORN. And yet, you didn't see CNN bother to cover that angle in their "pressure from Fixed" report.
Yet, if you're on Twitter, you have seen conservatives continuing to talk about ACORN like they are about to have it for some five star dinner on something. Instead of focusing on CIGNA's immoral BS, or why Obama still doesn't mind Blackwater doing their crimes, these idiots become full pawns by flaming the flames over a now story because of being right wing nutcases.
Sadly, that non story became full felicitation for them the moment the Senate just let it all go and cut finding off from ACORN thanks to a few idiots getting caught on camera by a fake. Fox Nation's jumped for joy at their propaganda working:
Hell, I would to if it could work that well. But thankfully, their victory has been subdued it seems.
Despite their bellyaching over "THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS STILL NOT COVERING THIS STORY," the media, scared as hell again by Murdoch's row, has covered this story, and have slammed ACORN. You have the New York Times not even mentioning the filmmaker of the sting being conservative. Then you have the Times and the Baltimore Sun ignoring the fact that the videotaping could be illegal. Tomorrow, it maybe something else.
Yet, no one I've seen has even give ACORN any love here. No one online, sure as hell no one on "center" corporate media TV, not even Rachel (Keith did that report on that clown on their morning show believing that women killed her husband, thoughshe wasn't the only one on the network to do so of course).
Well damnit, I hope that someone isn't just me or Media Matters.
ACORN had a few idiots get caught for a moment that lead to their jobs being removed. They did their damage control, but the nutcases won't let it go. (And by the way, if you don't think race has anything to do with this witch hunt as well, then I can sell you Joe Wilson's immigration lawyer record of defense.)
So if they don't halt their desire to see ACORN diminished all the way to irrelevance to claim some imaginary victory on Obama and the left , then the defense of this organization from the loons must rise somewhere and somehow.
