Much ado has been made from right wing commentators on Obamas swift reaction to Haiti's devistating hurricane vs. his 3 day lapse regarding the Christmas day terrorist attempt. The Haitian Government is reporting up to 200 thousand people have died in Tuesday's Earthquake.

There is little else to say, but no people have been seriously harmed in killed in the Christmas day attempt to take down an Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam and hundreds of thousands have been killed and injured from the Haitia's Earthquake, and that includes hundred of American citizens.
From O'Reilly's 'Talking Points'
"Talking Points" believes the president should have reacted quicker to the underwear bomber, but it is certainly appropriate for Mr. Obama to address Haiti quickly. The United States is a noble nation, and the world needs to hear that over and over and over. Already the U.S. Coast Guard is saving lives in Haiti, and America will respond generously to this devastation. We always do.
Now where or where did we hear such utter crap before? Oh, ya, Katrina.
From Media Matters-
Now, our government has a duty to provide a safety net so these people aren't living under bridges. But some of them are anyway, because all the entitlement money they get they spend on heroin or crack or alcohol. So they can't pay their rent because the money that they're given they spend on drugs and alcohol. So what do you do? Give them more money? They're not going to pay their rent, they're going to spend it on drugs and alcohol. And therefore, they're going to be out on the street with their hand out.
Many, many, many of the poor in New Orleans are in that condition. They weren't going to leave no matter what you did. They were drug-addicted. They weren't going to get turned off from their source. They were thugs, whatever.
Now the tragedy is that a lot of times these people have children, and society has to take care of their children. Now, to me, I'm much more punitive than -- I would take the children away from these people. If you tested positive for heroin or crack, I'd take your child away, out of the house. All right, I'd rather have the kid in the system than under your control. It's a tough call, but that's what I would do. But it isn't society's neglect, it's the absence of personal responsibility, which the government can not force you to be responsible, not in a free society.
It is clear when black people live in poverty and are helplessly dying, O'Reilly finds a way to insight "thuggery" into the discussion as a reason why these people should perish and die. This is clearly racism, and when comments like this are made, no network should hide behind the its only opinion. These opinions are wrong, they insight bigotry at it's highest levels and should be denounced.
I have never been so outraged with political commentary that uses bigotry as its pulpit. I donated to various charities helping out in Haiti, but I had to say something about this, it sickens me so much.
