Really. He is.
How else do you describe
He said the experience of rocket attacks from the Lebanese and Gaza borders means Israel must be able to prevent such weapons from being brought into any future Palestinian state in the West Bank.
"We cannot afford to have that across from the center of our country," he told foreign reporters in Jerusalem.
"In the case of a future settlement with the Palestinians, this will require an Israeli presence on the eastern side of a prospective Palestinian state," he said, without elaborating.
To be diplomatic, I see no chance of any military alliance between the future state of Palestine and Israel that would allow one nation to have their military on another's soil in an offensive capacity.
To be undiplomatic (i.e to act like Lieberman) this is insane! Whom has ever heard of, without a treaty establishing such, one country allowing another to have its military take up residence on your land? Again, I absolutely cannot conceive the future state of Palestine to be willing to cede such sovereignty to Israel.
Amazing, just amazing that he could utter such nonsense.
I still believe the Palestinians must unite their splintered government and engage in negotiations for peace with Israel. The sooner they do, the sooner Bibi's cloak of feigned desire for a peace treaty will be removed and the sooner new elections with a PM truly ready to negotiate peace can replace him.
