Just received an email from our First Lady asking "Who has inspired you" looking for nominees for the Citizen's Medal. Thought to myself, since the President seems to be ignoring the wishes of virtually everyone of his supporters nowadays, why not nominate, Not Barack Obama.
Here is what I responded in the explanation section:
"Failed to rally the Democrats in Congress to pass at the very least the Senate version of Health Insurance Bill leaving the country leaderless and floundering, and millions of uninsured Americans without any hope for health coverage whatsoever. After all, Coakley's loss was personally very devastating and it may take him two or three years to GET OVER IT.
Hasn't got a populist bone in his body and caves into special interests and spineless "Moderate" Democrats at every opportunity.
Is preparing to put the final nail in the coffin of progressive legislation handing the country over once and for all to the robber barons and wealthy charlatans."
Under the impact section I added: "Has redefined the word 'Hope' for all Americans. It apparently is now synonymous with the word 'Despair'. Other choices would be: anguish, dashed hopes, dejection, desperation, despondency, discouragement, disheartenment, forlornness, gloom, melancholy, misery, ordeal, pain, sorrow, trial, tribulation, wretchedness."
I know this is a rather short diary and I apologize for that. I just thought if everyone receiving this email were to respond with their true feelings, maybe Michelle can get through to this guy without Rahm filtering the whole thing.
