there has been a lot of talk about the Tim Tebow ad that will air today during the super bowl...
well the ad has been put on the internet ahead of time and I thought people here might want to actually see what people have been getting worked up about...

personally it's not nearly as preachy or bad as I thought it was going to be. In fact, when it comes to the subject, and the organization that made the ad, it's about as tasteful as they could have done it. The ad itself doesn't mention anything about abortion, or anything of the sort.
The focus on the family site will get a lot of hits, but when most people are caring about beer and chips, I doubt a lot of people are going to go to the site on a whim.
If I were to act as an unbiased media observer - which I'm not, but I like to pretend - focus on the family actually did a great PR job here. They made an ad that in of itself isn't very controversial - but because of Tim Tebow - and the organization that made the ad - they got a ton of free PR on practically every TV and radio station in the US.
Without mentioning abortion, pro-choice, or pro-life in their ad, they got the discussion they wanted on their terms.
After seeing the ad, we can figure out how they made it past CBS censors - they never mentioned in words, or print, the controversial part of the discussion. Instead they pushed to their website - which I'm guessing CBS is OK with. This could be the formula for other organizations who want to do big time super bowl abs in the future. Make the ad itself very plain, very uncontroversial - push to the website to get your real message out - then get free media time because of website's contents.
