I've posted this before, I know. Most progressive people have seen it more than once, I know. But I really think it would be oh so poignant if the American public could get a refresher on television. There's just something about that collective moment, with so many seeing it at the same time, that can help make the point sink in.
And a disclaimer: I watch Countdown and TRMS (Rachel Maddow's MSNBC show) online almost every single day (from overseas). So maybe this video clip has been run on one of their shows recently and I missed it. If so, of course all apologies.
Anyway...
The first time I posted this, it was in the hope of provoking some thought. This time, it really is offered more in the tone of encouragement - for every person who considers themselves a believer in the idea of having more than one party, and in the notion of actually getting something done!
I mean come on! Obama does seem to be getting it, going on the offensive... but do we really think the GOP is going to be shamed into working together?! It is patently obvious they have zero shame. Give me a break.
JFK's anecdote here about the name calling is so relevant today.
Call for bipartisanship to make the point and reveal who the lying slugs are...
But don't forget to do whatever it takes to make them irrelevant when they sit on their hypocritical hands and whine.
Rachel and Keith, keep kicking ass.
Sorry for the short diary...
