Looking at the new Washington Post/ABC Poll, it's not surprising to see that Americans are losing faith in the Democratic Congress and President Obama. I count myself among those who by sheer force of will hold onto a modicum of hope despite my crushing disappointment at what has and has not transpired in Washington since Obama's inauguration. (Grow a pair, Dems)
But what I find amazing, and more than a bit appalling is that the GOP have somehow managed to gain the trust of the American people by spending the last twelves months, lying, obstructing, lying, voting no, lying and lying.
You read that right, today 37% of the American people trust the GOP more than the Dems to fix our country's problems. Before the inauguration that number was a still scary 30%.
And what's even more appalling is that after a year of GOP lying, obstructing and voting no and paralyzing, 57% of American's feel that it's a GOOD THING that the Republican's have enough votes to block legislation.
- Republicans now hold enough seats in the U.S. Senate to block any legislation Obama and the Senate Democrats propose. Overall, do you think this is (a good thing because it will force Obama and the Democrats to cooperate more with the Republicans); OR (a bad thing because it will enable the Republicans to set terms before allowing anything to go forward)?
Good Bad Neither (vol.) No opinion

I mean after a year of watching the Republicans say no repeatedly, Vote against bills that they've co-sponsored, lie and obstruct repeatedly and nothing getting accomplished, you'd have to be retarded to think that this is a good thing, wouldn't you?
