Don't know about the rest of you, but I am seriously getting sick of all the attention that the Mainstream Media is piling upon the National Tea Bagger Movement. They held a "national" convention where they managed to draw a meager 600 attendees, but they garnered the press coverage usually reserved for long established organizations with hundreds of thousands of members.
But with all the members of the press there, where were the hard hitting questions they should have been asked. Why is it that no one points out the fact that the organization could be mistaken for a White Supremacist rally based on their rhetoric and the lack of ANYONE of an Asian, Hispanic, or African American background?
After all, the ORIGINAL Tea Party was based upon the belief that people should not be taxed without some sort of representation in Parliament. The colonials had no problem (well, maybe a little problem) paying taxes to the crown as long as they were given some voice in the matter. But the modern Tea Party movement is strictly dedicated to the notion that taxes are evil, that government is evil, and that they would like to do without both of them-- although they seem to have no problem enjoying the fruits with which the government supply them. And wouldn't it be nice if these loonies actually owned up to all of this, and just came out and told the truth, that they want the world to return to the 1950's where white men ruled the roost and everyone else knew their place.
