Short diary.

All of you who wish to 'dance on Dick Cheney's grave' and 'piss on it' can rest assured that you are no better than he is.

I've never been so ashamed of a movement in my life.  Obama said we should be better than this.  None of you who participated in the mass 'grave dance' are part of his movement.  You are the politics of destruction he has promised to eradicate.

He's not like you.  I'm not like you.  I'm not like Dick Cheney.  I'm better than that.

When Ted died, and the conservosphere was alive with diaries like the "Dance On Cheney's Grave" diary (on the rec list, I might add), I thought we would never sink so low.  We were better than that.  I called them out as destructive forces in American politics.

Now I call you out.

I imagine this will be my last diary here, as I will be HR'd into obvlivion.

Well, fuck you.

UPDATE:  Thank all of you who rec'd this.  At least I know I'm not totally alone here.  Maybe if it makes the rec list, it will push that other 'diary' off.  Hopefully before our enemies realize it's there and paint ALL of us with the other diarist's brush.

One clarification:  I disagree with everything Cheney ever did (except his stance on DADT).  But I do NOT think we should be talking about dancing on his grave while he convalesces in the hospital.

Anyway thanks again to all of your who have rec'd and/or given words of encouragement in the comments.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
